Meet the Team
Our office provides specialized dentistry for children and adolescents in a warm, caring child-friendly environment. As pediatric dentists, our 2-3 years of additional training after dental school has prepared us for the unique dental needs of each child we serve.
Dr. Reed Thompson
D.D.S.
Dr. Reed Thompson (known around our office as "Dr. Reed") is a pediatric dentist in Kalispell, MT. He was born and raised in Butte, Montana. He completed his undergraduate degree at Montana State University, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Minnesota, and after nine years with the Indian Health Service in Alaska, earned his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Reed is a current member of the Montana Dental Association, as well as the American Dental Association. He is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also an active board member for Sheperds Hand.
Dr. Reed, his wife, and son, Hobbs, reside in Kalispell with their dog Kulik. If Dr. Reed is not at the office, you can usually find him hunting and fishing with Hobbs in the great outdoors!

Dr. James Cannava
D.M.D, M.S.D, M.P.H.
Dr. James Cannava (known around our office as "Dr. James") is a pediatric dentist in Kalispell, Montana. He was born and raised in Soldotna, Alaska, before attending the University of California, Davis for his undergraduate studies. He earned his dental degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. After dental school, Dr. James spent three years working at community health centers in Montana where he developed a strong interest in children’s dentistry. He completed his pediatric dentistry degree in Seattle and treated patients at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Dr. James is a board-certified pediatric dentist. He is also a University of Washington School of Dentistry faculty member where he helps train dental students and provide care in traditionally underserved communities. Dr. James is happy to call Montana home. If you see him camping, hiking with his family in Glacier or snowboarding, make sure to say hello!

Dr. Samantha Healy

Dr. Samantha Healy (known around our office as "Dr. Samantha") is a pediatric dentist in Kalispell, Montana. She was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, before attending the Hendrix College for her undergraduate studies. She earned her dental degree at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She completed her pediatric dentistry degree at Indiana University. After her pediatric residency, Dr. Samantha spent several years working with CSKT in Polson, Montana, and abroad, before joining our clinic full time.
Dr. Samantha is a board-certified pediatric dentist and proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Samantha is happy to call Montana home now. She loves the outdoors and spending time with her growing family. If you see her out and about with her husband, Josh, and son, Noah, in the great outdoors, be sure to give her a shout!

Lisa Barber
Certified Dental Assistant
Lisa brings her gentle, caring nature to all of our patients here at Kalispell KIDDS. You can usually find her in one of the treatment rooms assisting one of our pediatric dentists. Lisa also brings her creative teaching spirit to share with all of us, when she has a little spare time! Lisa has a degree in teaching and loves not only to learn new things, but also to teach kiddos everything from presidents, to ancient Egypt, to nutritional counseling and oral hygiene!
Lisa joined Kalispell KIDDS in the fall of 2012. If Lisa is not at the office working, you can be sure she is enjoying Montana’s great outdoors! A Flathead Valley native, she enjoys anything outdoors - hiking, camping, rock climbing, swimming and skiing to name a few! She also takes advantage of any spare moments to spend time with her beautiful daughter Charlotte and wonderful husband Jim. You might see them out on the slopes, trail or at school functions at Stillwater Christian school. Lisa brings a calmness to our office and always goes an extra mile for every patient here at Kalispell KIDDS!

Chrissy brings warmth and cheer to Kalispell KiDDS! You can find her all over the office, from welcoming patients at the front desk, to teaching kids how to brush in the back. We appreciate so much the many years of dental experience she brings to our office. Chrissy also helps to make sure our hospital appointments run smoothly and keeps our referring offices informed!
Chrissy joined Kalispell KiDDS in July 2012. Chrissy was raised in the Flathead Valley and began her dental career at dental assisting school in Spokane, WA. Chrissy thoroughly enjoys the perks of being an executive chef’s wife and being the mom of two growing boys - Christopher Michael and Maximus Alexander - and aunt to a niece and nephew here in the valley! Chrissy shares her love of dentistry with each and every patient she interacts with here at Kalispell KiDDS!

Ashley is a Montana native who just moved back from a 2 year adventure across the pond. She comes from a big family of nine siblings, so family means alot to her. She has been with Kalispell Kidds since March 2021 and is loving every minute of it! If she is not at work, you can find her swimming or wakeboarding on the lakes, or hiking with her two adorable dogs Alice and Cooper.

Shannon joined our Kalispell Kidds team in September 2022. She is passionate about making your kiddos feel safe and have the best possible dental experience. With a background in social work and adolescent psychology, her favorite part of the job is connecting with parents and patients that come into our office. She loves seeing your kiddos smile and hear all about their favorite things!
While in the office she splits her time between assisting our dentists in appointments and checking in/out at the front desk. When Shannon is not at work, you can find her hiking, playing her bass guitar, or out taking photographs. She can’t wait to meet you!

Dental Hygienist
Sophia brings her youthful spirit and fun-loving nature to each and every patient here at Kalispell KiDDS! Sophia joined Kalispell KiDDS in April 2019, as an intern, and then came on board full time in July 2019. In August 2020, she left for 2 years to go to school at Great Falls College to earn her Associates in Dental Hygiene. She came back to the team as a dental hygienist in May 2022. When she is not working, she enjoys snowboarding during the winter months and hanging out by the lake in the summer months! She can’t wait to meet each and every one of our patients at Kalispell KiDDS!

This is Tatum! She loves making Kiddos smile and keeping their teeth super shiny! She has always had a passion for dentistry. Eventually, she wants to become a dental hygienist. Tatum has been at Kalispell Kidds since June 2021! Outside of work, she loves hunting, fishing, and hanging outdoors in the summertime! She grew up in Kalispell, and is so thankful to call it her home. Tatum loves working here and meeting all the kiddos that walk through the door.

Lindsey brings her sense of calmness and "can-do" attitude to our office! You can usually find her in the back office, handling claims and billing questions. You might even catch her in one of our consult rooms! Aside from helping our patients and parents have a great experience here, Lindsey also helps to make sure our chart notes are entered and up-to-speed!
Lindsey joined Kalispell KiDDS in the summer of 2014. Lindsey is a Montana native, and if she isn't here at the office, she is probably enjoying the great outdoors. You can usually find her running or hiking with one or both of her dogs. She LOVES to run! She is quite the chef in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes - especially cupcakes! She loves spending quality time with her ever growing family and enjoys knitting & reading to wind down at night. Lindsey brings energy and kindness to our crew here at Kalispell KiDDS, and always makes sure every patient is greeted with a smile and a wave goodbye!

Anna joined Kalispell Kidds in October 2022. She was born and raised in Texas, and lived in New Mexico many years before coming to Montana and calling it home. She love to cook, mostly Mexican food and sweets! She loves her dogs, and taking them to the river for a good run. If it’s too snowy, you will find her with a good book and a lap full of dogs.

Cooke makes sure every patient she sees has a sparkly clean smile! You can usually find her in our front hygiene chairs cleaning teeth, or working in her office on the books! Aside from hygiene, Cooke also keeps our office afloat by keeping on top of our bookkeeping!
Cooke joined Kalispell KiDDS in July 2009. A native North Carolinian, Cooke moved here with Dr. Reed to pursue their passion of pediatric dentistry. She received her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina (and is a HUGE Tarheel fan!) before continuing her hygiene career with the USPHS. She and Dr. Reed were married in June 2010 in East Glacier and she now calls Montana her home! When she is not at the office, she enjoys skiing, scrapbooking and the outdoors. She hopes to grow old with Dr. Reed & Hobbs and her family at Kalispell KiDDS!

Sarah joined Kalispell KiDDS in August 2021. She grew up in Northern Utah, where she worked for a Primary Children’s Hospital as a patient care tech for 5 years before becoming a travel CNA. This brought Sarah to Montana, which then led to her falling in love with the area and deciding to stay. Sarah loves to spend her free time with her blue heeler LeDoux, in the mountains camping or riding quads, playing hockey, and traveling.
